Obama unleashes Big Brother

Is Obama now ready to use the power of his office to monitor and track ordinary citizens and particularly those who are critical of his rapid march towards his vision of a  Marxist Utopia in America?    It certainly looks that way.   This Tuesday a White House Blog had this to say: "There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

Sen. John Barasso, R-WY, questioned, "If you get an e-mail from your neighbor and it doesn’t sound right, send it to the White House? People, I think, all across America are going to say is this 1984? What is happening here? Is big brother watching?"

Another example can be found on the Cash For Clunkers government website where you are greeted with the following warning statement:

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government. Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign."

Here’s a discussion of this subject from the Glen Beck program:
