How Many People Were at The 9/12 Protest in D.C.?
Attendance Reports Vary Widely
Washington – Most of the mainstream media have chosen to either entirely ignore the 9/12 protest in Washington D. C. this weekend, or to try to minimize it as much as possible by saying that it was attended by thousands of people. Well, thousands of people is not an outright lie, particularly coming from people that don’t think a $10,000,000,000,000,000 deficit is something to worry about, or that a $1,000,000,000,000 health care plan is "budget neutral." There were indeed thousands of people there, thousands of thousands of them. Early reports show that the D. C. police estimate the crowd size at about 1.2 million, the Parks and Recreation Dept. at around 1.5 million, and the British press reported earlier that they estimated the crowd size to be around 2 million. Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) speaking at the rally commented that he attended the Obama inauguration and thought there were more people present at this event than at that one. We will have more news as soon as it becomes available, including first hand reports, photos and video from our people on the ground there.
